What?
Designed two lowpass Butterworth filters at the end of an amplifier circuit needed to build a crossover network speaker system
How?
Used design requirements such as cutoff frequency and output impedance and Order, to determine the filter slope Used MATLAB Simulink to simulate the filter specifications. Used a shunt configuration to minimize number of inductors, therefore minimizing cost. Created a prototype circuit to design the low pass filter and to convert it into a high pass filter. Transfer function was simulated in rf tools to confirm slope.
Results
Designed a cost and time effective Butterworth filter to aide the speaker crossover network.
